In recent years, artificial intelligence has become an important topic of discussion, especially regarding its influence on traditional media. Despite the hopes of some experts, AI is unlikely to replace journalism.

The Challenges of Replacing News with AI

It's important to note that the ideas of "citizen journalism" supported by some figures fail to consider the complexity and quality of real news production. "Journalism takes time and resources to produce."

AI applications can gather information, but they cannot replace the actual experience of journalists who track events and maintain accurate timelines of news. For example, AI systems often mislead by providing outdated or incorrect data.

Competition in the AI Field

AI platforms are competing for user attention, and this includes not just advertising but also the quality of information. Currently, various companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are present in the market, attracting the attention of investors, but the quality of their service will define their success.

Despite the presence of multiple platforms, it is essential to note that modern chips, such as those supplied by Nvidia, are still needed for effective AI operation.

The Future of Journalism and AI

So, is it possible that in the future AI can become a full replacement for traditional journalism? At the current state, the answer is a clear no. AI, despite significant advancements, cannot distinguish between facts and fiction. This leads to confusion and errors in the information provided, making expectations surrounding AI in journalism unjustified. As stated, "LLM (Large Language Model) does not understand reality."

In conclusion, despite all technological advancements, traditional news sources cannot be replaced by AI. Journalism requires a human touch that no machine can provide.
