Renowned analyst Peter Brandt had previously forecasted Bitcoin to reach $200,000 by September 2025 after revising his target upwards. Initially, Brandt projected BTC's peak at $120,000 during the ongoing bull market.
However, Brandt has since altered his prediction, suggesting that Bitcoin's bull run might have concluded above the $73,000 all-time high level. This shift in perspective was based on historical data and a concept known as "exponential decay."
According to Brandt, Bitcoin may have already approached its current cycle's zenith or is in close proximity to it. By analyzing past cycles, he concluded that Bitcoin's price has historically followed a pattern of reaching a peak of roughly 20% higher than the previous cycle.
Despite the theory of exponential decay indicating a possible end to the bull market, Brandt acknowledged that Bitcoin's surge could persist. He noted that with the support of halving events, Bitcoin might hit a peak between $140,000 and $160,000 in late summer or early autumn 2025 based on halving-based cycle theory.
Brandt cautioned that past data does not guarantee future outcomes and should be viewed as speculative at best.
