Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, the second-largest in the world by trading volume, has restored full access to its app for users in India, marking an important milestone in its operations in this market.
Restoration of Bybit's Services
As of September 8, 2025, users in India now have full access to the Bybit app on the App Store and Google Play. The company's website access is being restored in phases, with complete access expected within the next 3-4 days. This change follows efforts to harmonize regulatory norms and reflects Bybit's commitment to transparency and security for its growing number of Indian users.
Regulatory Initiatives and New Direction
Bybit initiated the regulation process in early 2025 by registering with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) as a reporting entity. This ensured compliance with India's Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Since then, the exchange has resumed offering a range of services, including Spot, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading.
Participation in Events and New Initiatives
Bybit is the title sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which kicked off in Hyderabad on June 28. The next stops will be events in New Delhi on September 27-28. Furthermore, the exchange has launched the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025, featuring various campaigns with welcome bonuses for new users and exciting prizes.
The restoration of Bybit's access in India represents a significant step in expanding the company's presence in the growing digital asset market, emphasizing its intent to foster innovation and support local communities.
